Where Grand Lake's history meets family-friendly fun
Built in the 1880 under The Homestead Act of 1862 by early settler John Kauffman, this historic log cabin is a reminder of our pioneer heritage and the strong roots of our community.
The Homestead is open for tours and is the site of many special events, artisan displays and our popular Artisan Market & Gallery. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just looking for a unique experience, the Kauffman Homestead is a must-visit destination on Grand Lake.
